What do you like about working for your firm?
“The fact that we are a firm of specialists enables us to provide expert advice to a wide range of clients. Because I work with clients that I really understand I feel that I am able to provide them with the best possible advice. By having specialist teams rather than just individuals we are able to provide a fully rounded service to our client.”
What are in your words the strengths of your firm?
“We are experts in what we do. By having specialist teams in areas such as Fostering, Charities, Education, Healthcare and Buy to Let as well as a full-service general practice team we are able to meet the needs of a wide range of clients by providing sector-specific support and knowledge. Each of our specialist teams includes a range of experts ensuring someone is always on hand to help.”
“By working together and applying the knowledge and expertise of your team we can provide a first-class service that rivals our larger competitors.”Alex Ffrench, Director of Williams Giles Professional Services.
What is the most valuable lesson you have learned at your firm?
“That by working together and applying the knowledge and expertise of your team we can provide a first-class service that rivals our larger competitors and therefore we should not be afraid to take opportunities as they arise.”
What is the best or most rewarding experience you have had at your firm so far?
“Working with my team to develop new service lines has undoubtedly been a highlight. We have recently completed a project of designing a Xero software system specifically for schools. We invested time in designing and building the infrastructure and then marketed it to our clients – we sold it to the first six schools we presented it too – it was great to get immediate feedback of a job well done!”
What is your favourite statement that you regularly use when advising your clients?
“Yes, we can do that – not a problem!”Alex Ffrench, Director of Williams Giles Professional Services.
What result you achieved for a client, are you most proud of?
“We took on a charity client several years ago who had suffered significant fraud at the hands of their finance director. We were able to identify the extent of the fraud and through working with the police a successful conviction followed. Through this time we completely rebuilt their finance function that now operates smoothly and efficiently with the appropriate controls in place.”
How do you see the future of your firm from your perspective?
“Growing through providing expert service and developing a great team.”
