What do you like about working for your firm?

“I enjoy working with a great team to deliver great service and outcomes for great clients. The breadth of services in which we get involved and the variety of clients with whom we work means no two days are the same. It’s relatively easy to create a stir at the start of a relationship and that’s fine, but good relationships can only develop over time and getting good feedback from people with whom we have worked many years is a real buzz.”

What are in your words the strengths of your firm?

“The people are key. Technical expertise is essential and we have a highly qualified team with a great attitude and a passion to make a difference. We work with our clients in accordance with guaranteed, fixed fee service agreements, which are guaranteed to deliver the elements within the service package for the agreed fee. Our retained service is built into each service agreement, so every client knows they can contact us whenever they want. There is no barrier to collaborative working.”

What is the most valuable lesson you have learned at your firm?

“Good communication is essential. Communications with clients need to be relevant and clear, so clients understand quickly what we are saying, what action is required and where the value is. Communications with the team need to educate, motivate and support.”

What is the best or most rewarding experience you have had at your firm so far? 

“Delivering great outcomes for clients is always rewarding. Helping to achieve outstanding financial results (for instance on exit or sale of a business) is always high on the list, but rewarding experiences usually involve heightened emotion and feedback from a happy client. This can come from the most unexpected sources and is not always driven by monetary results. I love sharing feedback like this with the team.”

What is your favourite statement that you regularly use when advising your clients?

“Tax is pants and we’ll help keep them down.”

What result you achieved for a client, are you most proud of?

“I’m proud of the fact that we have helped clients to sell businesses for substantial seven-figure sums and retain more than 90%. I’m proud of the times we have helped our clients steer their ship through difficult waters. I’m proud of the times we have identified and made referrals to specialists which have made a life-changing difference to the client.”

How do you see the future of your firm from your perspective?

“Working with my colleagues in Xeinadin has given me renewed energy and optimism for the future. I am excited about the opportunities which lie ahead. The in-house expertise, specialisms and passion to make a difference, together with the drive for innovation and collaboration will help change the lives of our team and our clients.”
